Despite a potentially influential thesis in which one senses a kernel of insight, this book (particularly the second half, when I might have expected an increasingly coherent or specific analysis and some thought-provoking conclusions) meanders around the periphery of its central idea, but never really conveys a convincing clarity about the details of the proposed shift from capital-based to data-rich enterprises in the global economy. After I read this book I was both very impressed and profoundly disappointed. Well written, well paced. (British Patchwork & Quilting, June 2016). He’s anything but the hailed war hero the ton thinks he is. This is a decent starter book for the beginning developer. For the first two hundred pages we see the world through Walker's eyes, but at the end there is a sudden, baffling change in perspective that comes across almost as a cheat. I personally know this is true from living in different states and the author claim he was never moving to Ohio because of their reputation but I would like to see more data on this to help vets.
