The characters were eloquently written and ripe with development. David opens his heart on the pages of this book not only to his precious daughter but to those of us who have the honor of reading the authenticity of his words. In this third book of her Captive Brides series, Sara Fields once again gives us a unique story filled with science fiction, action, adventure, danger, mystery, and erotic romance. I found it useful to a point, as I was mostly interested in the Edmistons and their connection to my maternal Donnel family. The ending needed more resolve, she needed to talk to her mother about what happened between them. Appreciating his one of a kind contribution, as a non-anthropologist, I found this book to be a slow read. There are no photographs of Shiloh and none of Andersonville. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed POWER OF PLENTIFUL WISDOM.
